Herbert Hoover Birthplace Cottage
Closure
The Herbert Hoover Birthplace Cottage is closed while lead paint is removed from its exterior. Artifacts from the cottage, which represent furnishings contemporary to the Hoovers’ residency, will be on display in the park’s Visitor Center. The closure may last up to four months starting June 12, 2006. Visitors may still walk the grounds, visit several other historic buildings, and see the exhibits at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum.
